Am I Eligible for Meals if I’m on Medicaid?
Seasoned Home Meals partners with various Medicaid programs nationwide, but eligibility requirements differ from state to state. Unfortunately, we can’t determine your eligibility for you. We recommend contacting your Medicaid coverage provider to explore what options are available to you. Additionally, you can reach out to your local Area Agency on Aging to learn about potential meal programs in your area. If you’re deemed eligible, please ask them to submit an authorization to us so we can start delivering meals to you.
Am I Eligible for Meals if I’m on Medicare?
Medicare does not directly cover meals. However, some Medicare Advantage (MA) plans may provide benefits for home-delivered meals. For instance, you might qualify for meals after being discharged from a hospital or skilled nursing facility, or if you’re working with your health plan to manage a chronic health condition. Additionally, certain MA plans allow you to purchase meals using pre-paid benefit cards.
Unfortunately, we cannot determine your eligibility. To find out what coverage options are available to you, please contact your health insurance plan. You can usually find this information in your Summary of Benefits and Coverage document or by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. If your plan confirms that you’re eligible for meals, please ask them to submit an authorization to us so we can begin delivering meals to you.
Can I Use My Pre-Paid Card (OTC) from My Health Insurance Plan to Buy Meals?
Yes, we accept a variety of pre-paid benefit cards, often referred to as “over-the-counter cards” or “healthy food cards.” To place an order, email us at meals@seasonedhomemeals.com.
If you have a Solutran (S3) or OTC Network card, simply enter your card number in the designated field at checkout to check your eligibility and balance. For cards with a credit card logo (such as Mastercard or Visa), please enter your card number in the credit card field. To ensure a smooth transaction, make sure there are sufficient funds on your benefit card before placing your order.
For questions about card eligibility or your balance, please call the number on the back of your benefit card or visit your benefit card portal.
